====== Long-note patterns ======

A long note begins at its head and lasts until its end. The teal bars show hold durations; short purple bars show separate taps.

Open the diagram to view the full-size image. These are original timelines, not screenshots of a real map. Column numbers are not keyboard bindings. The example is illustrative rather than a test of the entire-chart classifier.

===== What the analyzer measures =====
The analyzer measures how many objects are holds, how much column-time they occupy, and the maximum simultaneous holds. The release time matters as well as the start time.

Use either form as an active player. The shared room’s future selections use the preference; already visible queue entries stay in place. Use ''.style'' or ''.map'' to inspect the current Mania chart and ''.pool'' for active filters.

===== Limitations =====
An LN-focused chart can contain taps and several overlapping holds. The tag does not describe every release rhythm or guarantee that a given player will find the chart easier.

When strict fresh choices run out, [[wiki:style_fallback|style fallback]] can broaden the selection while keeping the active eligibility boundaries. [[updates:v6_6_17|Expanded spelling aliases]] are supported in the confirmed live v6.6.17 release.
