===== Join and play =====
  - Open osu!lazer and choose a [[lobbies:start|PoolRotater lobby]] matching your mode and preferred difficulty.
  - Use **Join** on the [[:start|homepage]], **Join a lobby** in the bar at the top, or the current Discord status card. Join opens the current room in lazer; **Open in browser** offers launcher help and an official multiplayer link if the game does not open.
  - Download or import the selected beatmap. Ready up when you can play.
  - If you join during a match, read the bot's remaining-time message and wait for the next map.
  - Play the round. After completion, use [[commands:good|.good]], [[commands:bad|.bad]], or [[commands:ok|.ok]] to give feedback.

===== Control the session =====
Use [[commands:start_match|.start]] to request the normal countdown, [[commands:wait|.wait]] when you need a little more time, and [[commands:queue|.queue]] to see upcoming maps. If you are the only player, ready up for automatic starting; you can also explicitly request ''.start''.

Commands go in lobby chat with a leading dot. Most voting and Mania selection controls require you to be an actual gameplay participant. Spectators do not count as players. See [[guides:using_commands|using commands]] and [[troubleshooting:countdowns|countdown help]].
