Both Mania rooms accept canonical ''.style <name>'' arguments in the verified v6.6.16 reference. Choose a style as an active gameplay player; the preference belongs to the shared room. See [[wiki:mania_styles|style definitions]] and [[commands:style|exact syntax]].

===== Inspect, choose, and check =====
  - Type ''.style'' to inspect the current chart and available style choices.
  - Type ''.style jack'' to prefer jack-focused future selections. ''.jack'' does the same thing.
  - Type ''.queue'' to see already selected maps, then ''.pool'' for the eligible range and source.
  - Let the existing queue play out. The style change affects later selections rather than replacing those entries.

You type ''.style jack'', receive an accepted preference message, and see a technical chart next. First check whether it was already in the visible queue. Keeping queued maps is intentional.

If a later fresh selection differs, the strict style may be exhausted. The bot prefers strict matches, then weaker evidence, and then other native styles to avoid recent repeats. Chart labels are heuristic and can overlap. See [[wiki:style_fallback|style exhaustion fallback]].

===== Example: Farm does not promise easy PP =====
''.farm'' uses an experimental, confidence-aware ranking signal. It still respects eligibility and freshness. Highest eligible fresh farm-index candidates are preferred before weaker-feature fallback; actual PP depends on your score and the chart. Raw 4K and 7K index values are not interchangeable.

Missing or unavailable farm evidence may prevent that selection. Use ''.variety'' to broaden the room, or ask a moderator about active filters. See [[wiki:mania_farm|how Farm works]].

===== Which spelling should you use? =====
Canonical names and common aliases are available. Expanded spellings such as ''.tech'', ''.longnotes'', and ''.style long notes'' are supported by the [[updates:v6_6_17|live v6.6.17 update]]. Unsupported categories such as stamina are not implied.
