====== PoolRotater v6.0 — Headless Multiroom Update ====== **Historical archive — not current configuration guidance.** Source: Papapyrus's Discord announcement, supplied by the project owner for archival publication. Announcement timestamps are not independently verified deployment dates. ===== Announced changes ===== A major backend update: up to four lobbies from one process, one osu! account and one referee connection, without lazer client switching. * Run one to four lobbies using ''room_count'' in ''universal.json''. * Shares the API limiter, Discord bot connection, profile cache, availability cache and referee connection across active rooms. * Per-room Discord channels, controls, transcripts, map updates, welcomes and replies. * Adds Discord ''.say'' to chat in that channel's osu! lobby; ''.room1 say'', ''.room2 say'', ''.room3 say'' and ''.room4 say'' explicitly target another room. * Adds Room 3 and Room 4 example configs. * Fixed-difficulty rooms direct ''.harder'' / ''.easier'' voters to an active AutoDiff lobby. * Empty AutoDiff rooms reset after five minutes by default: JSON star range, fresh title/queue and no leftover difficulty-vote bias. The room itself stays open. * Bot messages—including welcomes, rating prompts, confirmations and map responses—mirror to the correct Discord channel. * ''.ai'' is no longer advertised in welcomes or ''.help''; the code remains available if enabled later. * Shared API controls and adaptive chat polling remain live-configurable through ''universal.json'' and staff Discord commands. * Preflight checks reject missing configs, duplicate aliases and duplicate Discord channels before rooms are created. * Adds per-room ''.close'' and global ''.shutdown all'' controls. The Windows launcher announced at the time: .\start_lobbies.ps1 Example ''instances/universal.json'': { "room_count": 2, "auto_empty_reset_seconds": 300 } ''room_count'' supports 1–4 and requires a supervisor restart. The empty-lobby reset delay is in seconds and hot-loads; 0 disables it. For current behavior, use [[wiki:start|the feature guides]] and [[commands:start|the command reference]].
