Deployment status (October 1, 2026): deployed, then superseded by v6.7.2. Later checks found additional OAuth and website integration failures, addressed in that release.
This patch fixes a regression during the initial v6.7 rollout that suppressed bot chat in headless lobbies. Command replies, welcomes, map announcements and chat polling now work without a desktop osu! client.
The patch passed 404 offline tests, including two new headless-chat regression tests. Live outgoing messages were confirmed in all four room channels. The upgrade used a coordinated maintenance restart because its shared API boundary changed. Old-room closure was confirmed before replacement rooms opened.
All v6.7 features remain available, including independent compatible room updates, quieter chat and database reliability improvements. See How room updates work for the compatibility limits.
