commands:rice
Command inventory current · Facts verified for v6.7.2 · Bot v6.7.2. How updates work

Rice selection

.rice selects tap-focused native Mania charts with very few holds and little sustained single-note streaming. Tap chords are allowed: Rice describes non-held notes, not exclusively one note at a time.

Availability Native Mania 4K and 7K from v6.7.6
Permissions Active gameplay player or moderator
Timing Future picks only; the visible queue stays unchanged

Usage

.rice
.style rice
.style rice jack
.variety

Rice can combine with existing patterns, for example Jack. Rice and Noodle cannot be selected together; an invalid request keeps the previous preference. Use .variety to return to the broader pool.

Strict and bounded matches

Strict Rice requires no more than 5% hold objects, 3% normalized held-time coverage and 20% single-stream events. If strict fresh matches are exhausted, fallback permits no more than 10%, 6% and 35% respectively. Missing or invalid feature evidence is not treated as a tap-only chart.

These definitions intentionally implement a low-stream Rice preference. They are heuristic, not a promise that every player would use the same label. Farm evidence is separate.

Safety and fallback

Strict fresh choices are preferred before weaker qualifying charts. Rice's bounded tap/hold limits remain mandatory even when another requested pattern becomes scarce. It cannot silently become Noodle or a hold-heavy general pool.

Selection avoids the last ten played or skipped rounds and current/queued maps when possible. Only exhaustion of the bounded eligible pool can require its oldest available repeat. Difficulty, length, pass count, age and native 4K/7K boundaries remain unchanged; converts are not admitted. If no qualifying maps fit, the previous preference is kept. Existing quiet fallback behavior is retained; a single Rice pool label can show (relaxed).
