Automatic and fixed rooms
Standard Room 1 adapts its selection range automatically using player information and room policy. Standard Room 2 and both Mania rooms use a fixed baseline. The title and .pool show the active range.
Vote to adjust
.harder and .easier request a change for future picks. The required share of current players and step size are configured per room. A pending vote can remain open for up to two completed maps. That window is for collecting votes; it is not a two-map duration for a successful difficulty change. A successful vote does not replace the current map or visible queue. Automatic rooms can later readjust under their normal policy.
Do not confuse a difficulty vote with map feedback: .bad rates the last completed map, while .easier adjusts selection difficulty. See voting rules.
Worked example
Use .easier to vote for easier future picks. After the vote passes, .pool shows the range; already queued maps remain in place.
Limitations
Step size, threshold, and baseline policy depend on the room. A difficulty vote is not a map rating.
