Mixed Standard DT
DT and NoMod can share a Standard Ranked rotation while retaining correct difficulty, duration and per-map speed settings.

Automatic and manual policy
DT is automatically eligible only when the active star-window midpoint exceeds 5.5★. For example, 5.0–6.0★ stays off; 5.5–6.5★ enables it. .dt opts in at any range and .nm opts out. Overrides reset with the empty-room session.
In ordinary mixed mode, when both variant pools have fresh choices, DT gets a 25% chance and cannot follow another DT pick while NoMod is fresh. That guard yields about 20% DT over a long run with both pools consistently available, not a promised ratio in an individual session. If only fresh DT remains, the bot can use it before forcing a recent NoMod repeat. The two variants share beatmap and song repeat history.
From v6.7.14, .dt 100 prefers every pick DT and allows consecutive DT maps. It safely refreshes unplayed upcoming NoMod maps after a fresh server audit; a running match/countdown finishes first. Existing DT, played history and necessary NoMod fallbacks remain. When fresh eligible verified DT is unavailable, it falls back to NoMod rather than forcing a recent DT repeat over fresh NoMod. Source/style, actual stars, played-time limits, song spacing and repeat guards remain. Future replacements can move to the queue tail. Plain .dt restores mixing; .nm opts out. Both cancel a deferred refresh.
Real difficulty and played time
DT star rating is calculated with the official osu! Standard ruleset locally, not by multiplying NoMod stars. The initial verified catalog contains 8,605 cached Ranked charts before room filters. Current official metadata must match the cached chart revision before use, and server-reported DT stars/settings are checked before start. Unknown or stale evidence fails safely to NoMod or holds an unsafe start.
DT hit length is source playable length divided by 1.5, rounded up. The room hard limit always uses that played time. With a 240-second cap, source 270 → DT 180 qualifies; source 360 → DT 240 qualifies; source 361 → DT 241 does not.
From v6.7.13, the lower preferred duration is divided by 1.5 while the preferred upper bound remains unchanged. Defaults are DT 60–150 versus NM 90–150 played seconds. Below 60 stays eligible as an occasional short pick; 151–240 stays eligible as an occasional long pick. The existing 80% preferred-bucket choice applies when both eligible fresh buckets exist; it is not a hard minimum or fixed quota. Existing JSON duration settings apply. Selection tiers and other filters still come first.
Sources and NC
All candidates originate from the working Standard catalog. DT is not restricted to Farm-only maps. Farm needs positive Farm evidence and DT/NC top-play evidence; Stream uses structural evidence and speed-adjusted BPM; Jump uses its spatial pattern evidence. The selected source remains in force. DT and NC top-play evidence are treated equivalently for Farm admission, but both produce one plain 1.5× DT variant; there is no separate NC pick.
This catalog is cached coverage, not every map in the database. Eligibility does not guarantee a map is currently cached, verified, fresh, or available inside the active filters. NoMod and DT build their sparse pass-count tiers independently, so a small DT pool can relax passes even when the combined map count exceeds 50. The feature does not itself refresh or expand the Standard research database.
Playlist and opt-out safety
DT is required on its own playlist item; NoMod items restore the configured normal mods. Chart labels show +DT, PP queries use DT, and running-map timing uses the adjusted duration. Custom speed and incompatible fixed mods are not admitted through the plain-DT rating.
.nm, automatic disabling or expired evidence remove future unplayed DT items safely; running matches are not interrupted. A replacement is a newly eligible NoMod pick, not the same chart relabeled with the DT rating. Played history and normal queue entries remain. Unsafe or uncertain transitions hold start.
Tuning and availability
Optional Standard room JSON dt_auto_threshold (default 5.5) and dt_pick_share (default 0.25) apply on the next compatible rollout. Duration uses existing real_max_length, preferred_min_length, preferred_max_length and preferred_length_share. Map verification also pins the source database identity and a 30-day DT-catalog lifetime; a Standard database refresh needs a rebuilt verified DT catalog alongside it.
Mania and Loved do not use mixed DT. Support requires a v6.7.11+ Standard worker with a valid catalog; check the room title. The latest release page holds dated rollout records, which are not a claim that every room is on the same version.
